Synopsis: 

• Daniel's will was probated  8 Apr 1826 

• Daniel appears on the Revolutionary War Pension Roll of 1835, age 63, Corporal, 17 Sep 1819, Orange Co, NY, CT Line.

• Will of Daniel DENTON:  The People of the State of New-York, by the Grace of God, Free and Independent:  To Thomas DENTON, a Son and Isaiah HOWELL a friend of Daniel DEONTON late of the town of Wallkill in the County of Orange deceased.  Send Greeting:  Whereas the said Daniel DENTON as is alledged lately died intestate, having whilst living, and at the time of his death, goods and chattels, or credits within this state, by means whereof, the ordering and granting Administration of all and singular the said goods, chattels and credits; and also the auditing, allowing, and final discharging of the accounts thereof doth appertain unto us; and we being desirous that the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased may be well and faithfully administered, applied and disposed of, do grant unto you the said Thomas DENTON & Isaiah HOWELL full power by these Presents, to administer and faithfully dispose of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits, to ask, demand recover and receive the debts which unto the said deceased, whilst living and at the time of his death did belong, and to pay the debts which the said deceased did owe, so far as such goods, chattels, and credits will thereunto extend, and the law require -= hereby requiring you to make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to your hands, possession or knowledge, and the same so made, to exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the Office of the Surrogate of the said county of Orange, at or before the expiration of six callendar months from the date hereof; and also a just and true account of Administration when thereunto required: And we do by these presents depute, constitute and appoint you the said Thomas DENTON and Isaiah HOWELL administrators of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits which were of the said Daniel DENTON In testimony whereof, we have caused the Seal of Office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed.  Witness Wheeler CASE, Esq. Surrogate of the said county, at Goshen the Eighth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six and of our Independence the Witness Wheeler CASE, Surrogate.
